Overview
Peacebuild's Working Groups bring together members interested in particular thematic areas of activity. Current Working Groups include:

Children and Armed Conflict
The goal of the Forum on Children and Armed Conflict Working Group (CACWG) is to improve protection for the security and rights of children threatened by armed conflict by enhancing the work of individual NGOs and professionals in the field. -
Conflict Prevention
The Confict Prevention Working Group (CPWG) aims to advance conflict prevention policy and practice in Canadian civil society, Canadian government, multilateral and regional organizations. -
Gender and Peacebuilding
The Gender and Peacebuilding Working Group (GPWG) promotes the active participation of girls and women in peacebuilding and work toward translating the general international commitments that have been made on gender equality and peacebuilding into concrete actions in specific situations. -
Peace Operations
The Peace Operations Working Group (POWG) is a vehicle through which civil society can be involved in the development and implementation of peace operations. -
Small Arms
The Small Arms Working Group (SAWG) seeks to engage Canadian civil society in the development and promotion of national and international policies and measures to reverse the diffusion and misuse of small arms and light weapons.
